Upcoming Symbian Belle phones from Nokia

Cindy, Zeta and Helen
For those who are looking for something different other than BlackBerry, Android phones, Iphones and Windows phones, I would recommend them to these phones. They are running on Nokia latest Symbian Belle operating system which will also be coming through over the air updates to existing Symbian Anna users  ( Users of Nokia N8, C7,C6-01, E7, E6-01 and X7). The new phones are Nokia Cindy, Zeta and Helen and also known as Nokia 500, Nokia 700 and Nokia 701.

The trio of new Nokia Symbian Belle smartphones is expected to arrive at a similar time, Q3 of 2011, with the Nokia 700 Zeta price €290, the Nokia 701 Helen price for €270, and the Nokia 600 Cindy being the budget-friendly option at €180 (all prices before local taxes and carrier subsidies). You can convert the price to RM yourself, it will cost around RM 800 to RM 1300 .

Among the main attractions of Belle are the addition of new widgets, more options for customization, new applications and built-in NFC functionality.

The Belle widgets are live, free-form and resizable meaning commonly used widgets like clock, e-mail, music player, favorite contacts and the calendar come in several dimensions and have the ability of being resized. If, up until Symbian Anna, you were only allowed to have three home screens, Belle raises that number to six.

The status bar of Belle resembles the one of Android as it is now flat and incorporates pull down notifications tab a la Google's solution, incorporating settings and notification of incoming messages, missed calls and so on.

As a direct effect of the Nokia-Microsoft deal, Symbian Belle now includes a set of Microsoft applications like Lync, Sharepoint, OneNote, Exchange ActiveSync and PowerPoint Broadcaster. And, while still in the business category, Belle includes built-in NFC support for all your touch-and-pay needs (and more).

There's also an improved lock screen which alerts you of missed calls, messages and more, while the multitasking bit has been further improved with larger application thumbnails.

KAK: Thank god I bought the Nokia C7 at the first place, I am for sure keeping my C7 and wait for the Belle update on my phone!
