life is a system..in every single thing that we do in life.. there have to be a system to be followed..be it when we want to eat, to breath, to take a bath or to sleep..even the natural environment is a big system where human is a part of it..
so human is a part of that system..
however..human have their own system..they created their own system..they build their own system to control themselves..for examples, human have their working system..education system..political system..economic system..legal system and etc..
and yet, there seems to be several differences between the natural system and human made system.. natural system often flows very well without any obstacles..contrary.. the human made system may be full of weaknesses..and for every new system they introduced, there often come people who oppose it, who resists it and to a higher level destroy it..
i would not discuss about the natural system that exists in this world..it is the human made system that really caught my attention.. seriously..i feel like i need to voice out my opinion concerning this topic..
when there is a flaw in the human made system..we cant blame the system..it is the human that relates to the system that ought to be blamed for the failure of a system.. when i said human that relates to the system, i was referring to those who create and those who eventually using the system..when there is a defect in the system this two
sides of human are the reason why the system failed at the first place..
a simple example when my university wanted to make it compulsory for the students to make pre-courses registration..and if the students fail to do so..they will not get to see their exam results online.. Looking at it briefly..it sounds like a good system..and will work just fine..a student has to complete the course registration and he will get to see his exam result online..so where is the problem?? the problem is the notification..
there were several ways my university did to notify the students about the implementation of the new system.. notice on notice board at fac.. flyers around the universities and lastly email notification..
its not the system..but its the human who conduct the system..among the three ways of notification..the one that really effective to most of the students is email..this is because..its not being a culture for my university's students to read notice board..far from reading flyers..thus the most convenient way of notifying the implementation of the new system is by sending email to the students.. UNFORTUNATELY, the most effective method of notification was not used correctly by the university.. i dont know why..but all of my classmates received their notification email half an hour just before the dateline for pre registration ended.. and that is around 11.30 PM..
so who will get the message if u send the message at 11.30 PM half hour just before the dateline for pre-registration????? what is their motive?? is there any problems with sending an earlier email notification?? or may be there is another motive???to blame the students for not being aware of any new announcement?? should student be blamed for their lack of awareness about this???? so whose fault is this??? is it the person who implement the system?? or those who use the system to be blame???? i leave this to your choice..
if you ask me..i would still believe that human make mistakes..its not fair to blame the system...but the question now is to ask where is the point when the mistake starts?? so that we can improvise the current flaws..to me..when one side or one party need to implement a system to control the other party..they must really learn who are going to use that system..what kind of people are they?? are they ready for such a drastic change??? will the change makes the process quicker or it adds more steps to the process???
in the end..to the system maker..if u wish for people to follow your system....study the users of the system first....or else you will end up seeing your system fails you!
KAK..
